The First Gentleman, at the invitation of the First Lady of France Brigitte Macron, participates alongside President Osmani in the activities of the Artificial Intelligence Summit in Paris
During President Osmani’s official visit to Paris on February 10th and 11th 2025, at the special invitation of the First Lady of France, the First Gentleman of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Prindon Sadriu participated in a series of activities, within the framework of the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit. Under the organization of the First Lady of France, Mrs. Brigitte Macron, Mr. Sadriu, together with several first ladies of various countries of the world, was welcomed by the Rector of the Cathedral, Olivier Ribadeau Dumas, and First Lady Macron. Mr. Sadriu initially visited the art installations in the Notre Dame Cathedral and then other hundred-year-old installations closed to the public. As part of this visit, the First Gentleman was also invited to an official dinner at the Élysée Palace, where, in addition to President Osmani, heads of state and government, leaders of international organizations and prominent figures from the private sector were also in attendance. During this visit, together with President Osmani, the First Gentleman also attended the Plenary Session of the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit, with a focus on discussing solutions that put revolutionary technological developments at the service of humanity. In conclusion, at the invitation of the US Chargé d’Affaires in France, together with President Osmani, the First Gentleman participated at the reception organized in honor of the United States delegation,led by Vice President JD Vance. The event was held at the US Embassy in France.
The Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo participates in the seventh high-level meeting on the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Japan
Last week, with the participation of more than 140 representatives from different countries, the seventh high-level meeting of the Network of Focal Points on the Women, Peace and Security Agenda was held in Tokyo, Japan. The Cabinet of President Osmani, represented by advisors Dora Musa and Albana Krasniqi, reconfirmed the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo towards advancing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, through internationally recognized initiatives such as the Forum for Women, Peace and Security, as well as the Regional Center of Excellence for Women, Peace and Security in Kosovo. On the sidelines of this meeting, the advisors to the President had the opportunity to meet and talk with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr. Takeshi Iwaya, Chair of the Parliamentary Group for Women, Peace and Security in the Parliament of Japan and former Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Yoko Kamikawa, Minister of Internal Affairs of Moldova Ms. Daniella Misail-Nichtin, NATO Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security Ms. Irene Fellin, MPs, ambassadors and special delegates for this agenda of the participating states. In addition to these meetings, the representatives of the Presidency had the opportunity to engage in working groups which identified the next steps that need to be taken to advance the Agenda for Women, Peace and Security at the international level. During these days, new opportunities for partnership in this field were also identified within the framework of the Regional Center of Excellence for Women, Peace and Security in Kosovo, while the continued commitment of the Republic of Kosovo, through presidential initiatives, was highly praised.

President Osmani wrote: On the eve of the International Summit for Action on Artificial Intelligence (AI), we were invited to the dinner hosted by President Macron at the Élysée Palace, along with other leaders, heads of international organizations and prominent figures from the private sector. Moments like these strengthen diplomatic and economic ties and open new opportunities for cooperation. Together with President Macron, US Vice President JD Vance, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and many other world leaders, as well as leaders of some of the world’s largest companies such as Google, Open AI, Alibaba, etc., we had the opportunity to discuss important topics in the interest of the citizens we represent.

During her stay in France, President Osmani will participate at the Artificial Intelligence Summit, alongside President Macron, Vice President of the United States JD Vance, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and other world leaders. As part of the visit, President Osmani will be present at the official dinner at the Élysée Palace, at the official reception organized by the US delegation as well as at the plenary session co-chaired by President Macron and Prime Minister Modi. During this visit, a reception will also be held by the First Lady of France Brigitte Macron, to which the First Gentleman Prindon Sadriu has been invited.
Statement by the President
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, congratulates the citizens who, at this electoral process as well, showed a high level of democratic culture. She conveyed her expectation that the CEC will successfully complete the vote count by tonight. However, following the software failure, which is confirmed by the CEC, Madam President has requested that the integrity of the electoral process be protected, ensuring that every vote is counted correctly. Madam President will continue to be in contact with all relevant institutions, until it is fully ensured that the entire electoral process, including the counting and publication of the results, is conducted in accordance with the highest democratic standards and in accordance with the will of the citizens.
President Osmani: Kosovo is the most developed democracy in our region, we preserve it as such and we must develop it even further
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani and the First Gentleman Prindon Sadriu, casted their votes, in the regular parliamentary elections, at the Technical Faculty polling station. After casting her vote, President Osmani addressed the media. Madam President’s full statement: Thank you for waiting with me until it was my turn to vote on this extremely important day for the democracy in our country. As you know, Kosovo is the most developed democracy in our region, we must keep it as such and we must develop it even further. Today is a crucial day for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo to contribute in this direction by participating in the most important process by which the future Parliament is determined, followed by other institutions, and decisions are made that are important for the quality of their lives and for our entire country. Hence I hope that all citizens throughout Kosovo will exercise this right. The weather is also good and sunny today, so it is a little easier to vote. I believe that they have the necessary information provided by the Central Election Commission about their polling stations and it is a good opportunity for citizens not only to give their assessment for all the politicians that have represented them so far, but also to give an opportunity to those who may be running for the first time, and it is important that all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo exercise this right. I wish success to all those who are running in these elections. I hope that good fortune will lead our beloved Kosovo, and one of the best ways to contribute to our Kosovo is precisely by exercising your right to vote.

During her official visit to Washington, D.C., President Vjosa Osmani held a series of meetings with American officials and congressmen, and was one of the guests of honour at the Prayer Breakfast. During her stay in D.C., President Osmani held: • A meeting with the US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the Department of State, Louis Bono; • A meeting with Congressman Brian Mast, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the US House of Representatives; • A meeting with Congressman Keith Self, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe in the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives; • A meeting with Congressman Mike Lawler; • Delivered a Keynote speech at the International Luncheon organized as part of the Prayer Breakfast, in front of thousands of participants, hosted by the US Congress in Washington, D.C.; • Delivered a speech at the Inter-Parliamentary Security Forum, where she was the guest of honor; • Addressed the Young Presidents Organization dinner, as part of the Prayer Breakfast; • A meeting with Nobel laureate and former Executive Director of the UN World Food Program, David Beasley; • A meeting with leaders and experts of The Heritage Foundation, one of the most influential institutes in American public policy. President Osmani also participated at: • The Prayer Breakfast, where President Trump delivered a speech; • The International Inter-Parliamentary Luncheon on Capitol Hill; • The opening dinner of this year’s Prayer Breakfast meeting.
