President Osmani participates at the Munich Security Conference

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has departed for Germany to participate at the Munich Security Conference (MSC), one of the most prestigious global forums on security and foreign policy issues. During her stay in Munich, President Osmani will hold meetings with world leaders, representatives of international organizations and important personalities of global politics, with a focus on strengthening strategic partnerships and advancing the interests of the Republic of Kosovo in the international arena. In addition to bilateral meetings, President Osmani will also participate in discussion panels organized during the conference. The Munich Security Conference, established in 1963, is an independent platform that aims to promote peaceful solutions to conflicts, international dialogue and cooperation between states.
President Osmani received the CEC Chairman, Kreshnik Radoniqi

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, today met with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Kreshnik Radoniqi. The main topic of this meeting was the progress of the electoral process, on which occasion Madam President re-emphasized the importance of full engagement to guaranteeing and preserving the integrity of this process. Regarding the problems identified with the electronic platform for reporting results, Mr. Radoniqi explained that the CEC has immediately invited the security and justice institutions to investigate the problem and that the CEC is awaiting the final report of the security institutions on the identified issues that have affected the functioning of this platform. This report will help in the assessment and addressing of the identified issues, ensuring full transparency on the reasons that have led to this problem. At the same time, President Osmani was informed by Mr. Radoniqi that the CEC is working to ensure that every vote cast for political parties is confirmed during the candidate vote counting process. According to the CEC head, this process is being carried out with increased care to ensure full matching of the votes registered in the system and those in the ballot boxes. Since election day, Madam President has been in constant contact with Chairman Radoniqi as well as the relevant security institutions and has requested that all necessary measures be taken to protect the electoral process and to guarantee full respect for the will of the citizens by re-confirming every vote through manual counting as well, in addition to those made in the electronic system. At the meeting, President Osmani also raised the need to coordinate institutional mechanisms to preserve the integrity of the electoral process and the citizens’ vote itself.
