In his congratulatory message, President Steinmeier reaffirmed Germany’s support for Kosovo’s independence and its European path, recalling that his country was among the first countries to recognize the state of Kosovo in February 2008. “Over the years, we have continuously deepened our cooperation, whether in security policies, in reforms for approximation with the EU, or the field of climate and energy policies,” states President Steinmeier’s congratulatory message.
