On the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence, the President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron, congratulated the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, reconfirming France’s support for Kosovo’s independence and European integration.
“In the face of the turmoil and fragmentation of the world, the European perspective of Kosovo, like that of all the countries of the Western Balkans, must be reaffirmed. I assure you of France’s support to your country on this path,” reads President Macron’s congratulatory message. He further expressed hope that the two countries can continue to cooperate, especially regarding the organization of the Mediterranean Games in 2030 in Kosovo.
“France is ready to help you make this major event a complete success,” the message states.
In his congratulatory letter, President Macron thanked President Osmani for participating in the ceremony of the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral. “France remains a committed ally of Kosovo and will continue to support its stability, development and European perspective,” wrote President Macron in his congratulatory letter.
