The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) superiors took their oath today in front of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu.
Addressing the KSF superiors, President Sejdiu said that this was a moment of solemnity and responsibility alike.
“You are the elite of the KSF management and I believe you will mange to convey the best human and professional messages in accordance with your responsibilities defined by law” – President Sejdiu said.
The most important thing is your apolitical approach, because the KSF is an institution at the service of all citizens” – President Sejdiu pointed out.
President Sejdiu reminded that he has decreed the KSF high superiors based on the competences that the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo vests in the President of the Republic, as a Supreme Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, pursuant to Art. 84, item 12, and Art. 5, item 3(b) and Art. 15, item 1, of the Law on the Kosovo Security Force and further to the Request Nr. 0255/09 for promoting the Ministry of the Kosovo Security Force, filed on 25.05.2009.
Besides President Sejdiu and Prime Minister Thaçi, the KSF Superiors’ Oath Ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Ramë Manaj, the Minister of Kosovo Security Force Fehmi Mujota, the Deputy Minister Behxhet Brajshori and the KSF Commander, General Lieutenant Sylejman Selimi.
In front of them, the oath was taken by: General Major Rrahman Rama, the Kosovo Security Force Deputy Commander and Commander of Ground Forces; General Major Kadri Kastrati, Director of Operations; Brigadier General Bashkim Jashari, Kosovo Security Force Inspector; Brigadier General Nazmi Brahimaj, Rapid Response Brigade Commander; Brigadier General Zymer Halimi, Head of Operations and Training Department; Brigadier General Imri Ilazi, Commander of Operations and Support Brigade and Brigadier General Enver Cikaqi, Commander of Training and Doctrine Command.
