President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting the Director General of the Kosovo Police, Mr. Shpend Maxhuni, with whom she discussed the electoral process at the three polling stations in the north Mitrovica on November 17th, as well as the second round of the voting which will be held in some municipalities of Kosovo on December 1st.
President Jahjaga emphasized that security and guarantee of the right to a free vote for all the citizens of Kosovo, with particular emphasis on the citizens of the Serbian community residing in the northern part of the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, is essential.
She also said that she believes in a peaceful repeated voting in the three polling stations in the north Mitrovica and stressed the necessity for guaranteeing of the security of all voters.
Director General of the Kosovo Police, Mr. Shpend Maxhuni, informed President Jahjaga with the preparations and coordination undertaken by the Kosovo Police with the other international security mechanisms towards guaranteeing of a regular and safe process during the repeated voting being held on November 17th, in three polling stations in north Mitrovica.
