The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani Sadriu commemorated the former Minister of Justice Mrs. Nekibe Kelmendi, on the eleventh anniversary of her passing away.
President Osmani said that Mrs. Nekibe Kelmendi, despite the life challenges from the murder of her husband and two sons by the genocidal Serbian regime, found the courage to dedicate her entire life to the engagement for the freedom and independence of Kosovo.

Today marks the eleventh year since the passing away of the Stoic woman, the wise politician and former Minister of Justice Mrs. Nekibe Kelmendi, who despite the life challenges from the murder of her husband and two sons by the genocidal Serbian regime, found the courage to dedicate her entire life to the engagement for the freedom and independence of Kosovo.
She remains the model of a committed, consistent woman who never gave up.
Her activity spanning several decades is a testament to the valuable contribution of women in the journey of Kosovo through all historical periods.
The memory of Mrs. Nekibe Kelmendi will be eternal, just like her work that will remain an inspiration to present and future generations!
