The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani said that Mitrovica shall never forget the horror of the 3rd and 4th of February 2000, when 10 of its citizens were killed, including the elderly, women and children.
“The memory of them will still weigh high on our consciences until the perpetrators, part of the criminal gangs instigated by Serbia, are brought to justice,” said President Osmani.

25 wounded from that night and 1664 expelled families with almost 12 thousand members from that area are evidence of that sorrowful night when they suffered just because they were Albanians, and also evidence that ethnic cleansing against Albanians in the north of the country continued even after the war.
May such events never be repeated again and may the remembrance for those killed remain alive for eternity!
