When we are all gathered tonight with family and friends to celebrate this long festive Night, I want to wish you from the heart – Cheers – much health and a lot of successes; Cheers – with Your people for a New Year, which marks a beginning with prosperity for the entire society.
This is always a time of hope, when we celebrate the conclusion of a Year and the beginning of another Year, when we summarize all the work and the results but when we also look forward to the challenges that are awaiting us as a society and as a country, with which we all will face with courage and dedication.
This is the time when we are concluding a year that has left so many difficulties, when we have tested the patience, as well as the faith, and your hope for your country, for which so many have sacrificed and which You have wanted to be more different. A country with more growth and more progress, a democratized country, the country of all the citizens without distinction. And no matter how long the path of reform in society is, no matter how difficult and painful they are, we will face them with our strength, courage and willingness to build the advanced country.
It is the time when we all together have to restore the confidence in ourselves and in the country we are building, like entire generations have done who have kept alive the spirit for a different Kosovo, a promised land for its citizens, in which, families who for over 15 years continue to look for their most loved ones, who have disappeared during the war, will find rest as well.
And tonight, when all of us will celebrate with our families, let us see a new year full of hope, with more love for the country and more work to fulfill the dream of everyone for Kosovo – the country of the rule of law and the country of equals.
