Tirana, 13 January 2011- The meeting with the President of the Parliament of Albania Ms. Jozefina Topalli and Albania’s delegation to the Council of Europe discussed relations and cooperation between the two countries, general evolutions, issues related to the report by the Council of Europe Rapporteur Dick Marty and coordination concerning the position that Albania’s delegation will maintain during the proceedings of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly.
In the vein of the meeting with Prime Minister Berisha, these meetings served to express the position that Kosovo and Albania institutions hold all allegations contained in Dick Marty’s report false and that that the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly will be requested to urge Mr. Marty into forwarding all the facts concerning his allegations to EULEX and International Court of Justice.
Xhavit Haliti, member of the Presidency of the Assembly of Kosovo, Vlora Çitaku, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bilall Sherifi, Chief of A/President’s Cabinet and Skender Reçica, Protocol and International Relations Adviser, are accompanying Mr. Krasniqi during the visit.
Tomorrow, the A/President Dr. Jakup Krasniqi will meet the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bamir Topi.
