The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Justina Shiroka-Pula, has received congratulatory messages upon assuming office from the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović.
In his message, Italian President Sergio Mattarella expressed the hope that cooperation between the two states would gain new momentum and deepen further, in line with Italy’s ongoing commitment to supporting Kosovo, a commitment evidenced by its participation in the KFOR mission, the command of which Italy is set to assume again soon.
“I also hope that, during your term, Kosovo achieves concrete and sustainable progress in the internal reforms necessary to bring the country closer to the common European family. On this challenging journey, Kosovo can count on our support”, reads President Mattarella’s letter.
Meanwhile, Croatian President Zoran Milanović expressed his readiness to continue cooperation, particularly regarding security and stability in the Southeast European region.
“Croatia will continue to support Kosovo’s integration into international organizations and regional cooperation frameworks, with a particular emphasis on membership in the European Union and NATO. I look forward to an early opportunity for a personal meeting and an exchange of views on the prospects for the further development of our relations”,
President Milanović wrote, inter alia, in his congratulatory letter.
