Distinguished members of the Academy of Sciences of Albania,
On the occasion of its 54th anniversary, I wish to convey to you, on behalf of the Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo and in my own personal capacity, my heartfelt congratulations and deep respect for this significant milestone!
From the leadership of Professor Aleks Buda to its current leadership under Mr. Skënder Gjinushi, the Academy embarked on its journey as a sanctuary of knowledge, in-depth research, and the preservation of national heritage.
Throughout these 54 years, the Academy has been and remains one of the pillars of the Albanian nation’s intellectual identity.
Throughout this journey, it has carefully preserved the national heritage while, at the same time, engaging with the new challenges of science, innovation, and sustainable development.
At a time when Albanian society, both in Albania and in Kosovo, is facing profound changes and growing demands for knowledge and expertise, the role of the Academy of Sciences is of paramount importance.
For us, the Albanians of Kosovo, this institution has been and remains an important source of knowledge and national pride.
On this 54th anniversary, I wish for the Academy of Sciences of Albania to continue to be an open home of knowledge, a place where new generations of researchers find inspiration and where Albania and Kosovo find a strong and respected voice in the world of science and culture.
May this anniversary serve as an impetus to move forward with greater ambition and confidence in the power of knowledge.
I wish you continued success in your daily work, new publications of lasting value, research projects that serve the country, and international cooperation that enhances the standing of Albanian science.
With deepest respect and warmest congratulations on the 54th anniversary,
Justina Shiroka-Pula
President of the Republic of Kosovo
