President Osmani: Ukshin Hoti was the philosopher of the resistance, a man who saw Kosovo’s independence as a historical and moral necessity

On May 16th 1999, the patriot and intellectual Ukshin Hoti was forcibly abducted from Dubrava Prison and since that day there has been no trace of him.

A brilliant mind, a free spirit and a unique visionary of the national caucus. Ukshin Hoti was the philosopher of the resistance, a man who saw Kosovo’s independence as a historical and moral necessity.

His absence remains an open wound for the nation.

He is a memory, a lesson and a challenge for our present, hence the unraveling of his fate is our ongoing obligation.
