On March 24, 1999, Kosovo lost two prominent humanists: Latif Berisha and Agim Hajrizi. One a writer and intellectual, the other a trade union activist, both patriots dedicated to the freedom and independence of Kosovo.
On the same day, Latif Berisha and Agim Hajrizi, along with Agim’s mother and son, were killed by the genocidal Serbian regime. However, their work and sacrifice remain immortal and a reference for generations.
Kosovo remembers and honours their work and sacrifice, today and always!
May the memory of Latif Berisha, Agim Hajrizi and all those who fell for freedom be eternal!
