Following his assumption of the office of the KFOR commander, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu received today Major General Özkan Ulutaş.
On this occasion, President Osmani congratulated him on assuming the post of KFOR commander, expressing full confidence in close cooperation in order to fulfill common goals for peace and security in Kosovo and the region.
President Osmani also emphasized the importance of coordination in successfully confronting the challenges and open threats from Serbia that tend to undermine the security, stability and territorial integrity of the country, especially after the September 24th terrorist attack in the north of the country. In this direction, Madam President expressed her gratitude for the reinforcement of KFOR troops, which are supporting the institutions of Kosovo in patrolling the border with Serbia.
For his part, General Ulutaş expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the reception by President Osmani, stressing that he will cooperate closely with President Osmani and all other local institutions to fulfill his responsibility in the service of security and protection of peace and stability based on the mandate of the KFOR mission in Kosovo.
