President Osmani: Ratification of the Berlin Process agreements facilitates communication and increases exchanges between Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met with members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić and Denis Bećirović in the series of bilateral meetings as part of the meeting of the leaders of the countries participating in the Brdo-Brijuni Process in Skopje.

At the meeting, the ratification of the Berlin Process agreements by the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina was discussed among other things, an obligation arising from the signing of the agreements in November of the previous year.

President Osmani emphasized that the ratification of the agreements by the BiH authorities is, in addition to an obligation, a necessity that will help the free movement of citizens of both countries, contributing to the increase of communication and exchanges between the two peoples.

According to President Osmani, the Assembly of Kosovo and the four states of the region have ratified the agreements of the Berlin Process, one of which foresees the movement regime only with identity cards with Bosnia and Herzegovina, so it is the turn for Bosnia and Herzegovina to do the same.

In addition, President Osmani estimated that the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states would increase the possibilities for deepening bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

President Osmani emphasized that achieving the common vision of both countries to be part of the Euro-Atlantic family would contribute to peace, stability and long-term prosperity in the region.
