The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, who is currently in New York for the 78th Session of the United Nations Assembly, participated at the ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of Women Leaders in Politics.
In an address to other women leaders, President Osmani spoke of the engagements and the prominent role of women in different time periods of the country’s development history. She emphasized that Kosovo, in the 15 years of its independence, stands out for the leadership of women in politics, emphasizing the importance of continuous cooperation and networking in order to empower women in public life.
In her address, President Osmani also pointed out that Kosovo is proving to be a leading country in the leadership of the Agenda for Women, Peace and Security and emphasized that the empowerment of women in the field of security, as well as in other fields, is the best opportunity for them advance the society as a whole.
