The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, in continuation of her official visit to New York, met with her counterpart from Honduras Mr. Juan Orlando Hernández Alvarado.
Relations between the two countries are considered to be excellent, as both presidents have shown their readiness to further expand them.
President Osmani pointed out that they see in Honduras a partner for lobbying of the neighbouring countries in Central and South America for the recognition of the independence of Kosovo. According to her, Honduras's help in support of Kosovo's membership process in international organizations is also anticipated. Speaking of the general situation in the country, President Osmani pointed out that the dialogue process with Serbia should end with mutual recognition of the current borders and the existing legal order.
The two presidents agreed that the issue of climate change and its consequences should become a priority on the global agenda.
