The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, following her visit to New York, met with the Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit whom she thanked for the support of this organization provided to Kosovo.
At the meeting with Mr. Aboul Gheit, President Osmani asked for an increase of cooperation with the Arab League, in order to further deepen the relations with the League member states and to ensure new recognitions, but also to support Kosovo in the process of its membership in international organizations.
According to President Osmani, Kosovo has already made significant progress with a special focus on the rule of law, the creation of jobs, and strengthening of the Kosovo's international position.
She emphasized that the strengthening of Kosovo's international position contributes to long-term and stable peace in the region and beyond.
