The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, during her visit to New York met with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wazed.
Relations between the two states have been assessed as amicable, while President Osmani emphasized the necessity of advancing interstate relations.
In Kosovo's effort to consolidate its international position, President Osmani pointed out that Kosovo sees Bangladesh as an ally, and asked for the help of this country for recognition by its neighbouring countries.
At the same time, President Osmani requested Bangladesh's support for membership in international organizations.
According to President Osmani, Kosovo will make efforts to increase its commercial exchange with this country.
A number of agreements, which are expected to be signed between the two countries, including the one on avoiding double taxation and preventing fiscal evasion were also discussed at the meeting with Sheikh Hasina.
