The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has congratulated the Albanians on the 109th anniversary of Albania's independence.
President Osmani said that on November 28, 1912, the Albanian people crowned the aspiration for an independent Albania.
“This act together with the raising of the flag in Vlora are sacred acts of our common history, which we built with hardship and sacrifice,” said the President.

On November 28th, 1912, the Albanian nation crowned the aspiration for an independent Albania. This act together with the raising of the flag in Vlora are sacred acts of our common history, which we built with effort and sacrifice.
This date has a lot of historical weight. On this day, the legendary commander Adem Jashari was born and on the same day, the Kosovo Liberation Army appeared in public for the first time. Both of these events give even more meaning to November because they carry in themselves the spirit of freedom, the ideals of generations from Skenderbeg, Ismail Qemajli, Isa Boletini and many other patriots.
On the 109th anniversary of independence, I wish Albania, along with Kosovo, success in all fields! Kosovo will continue to be on the side of Albania benefiting the common interest, further deepening the ties between us, between brothers and sisters, as well as strategic ones!
