President Osmani departs on an official visit to Bulgaria upon an invitation by the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has departed for a two-day official visit to Bulgaria, at the invitation of her counterpart Rumen Radev, who will be receiving Madam President with high military honours.

In addition to the tête-à-tête meeting with President Radev, President Osmani will also hold a bilateral meeting and then hold a joint press conference.

The delegation headed by President Osmani will also participate at the official presidential dinner hosted by President Radev.

During her visit to Bulgaria, President Osmani will also meet with the Speaker of the Parliament of Bulgaria Vezhdi Romanov.

At a special ceremony organized by the mayor of the Bulgarian capital Yordanka Fandakova, President Osmani will be presented with the Key of Sofia.

The awarding of the Presidential Military Medal to the Bulgarian Armed Forces for their contribution to the NATO peacekeeping mission (KFOR) in Kosovo is also on the agenda of President Osmani's visit to Bulgaria. President Radev, Acting Minister of Defense Dimitar Stoyanov and Commander of the Joint Armed Forces of Bulgaria Valeri Tsolov will also be present at the ceremony.

Meanwhile, at the “St. Kliment Ohridski” University, President Osmani will be awarded a certificate of appreciation and will be will holding a discussion in front of the academic staff, accredited diplomats and students during which she will be speaking on peace and prosperity through Euro-Atlantic integration in Southeast Europe.

President Osmani will award a certificate of appreciation to the department of General, Indo-European and Balkan languages of this University, for the valuable contribution to the study, development and further cultivation of the Albanian language.

President Osmani, during her visit to Bulgaria, will also hold a meeting with the Albanian diaspora that lives and works in this country.
