I received with deep pain the news of the early departure of the poet, Mr. Xhevdet Bajraj.
He was a poet, lecturer and committed intellectual, who although living far from his homeland, became a cultural ambassador, affirming everywhere the values of modern Albanian literature.
The poet Bajraj left, but he bequeathed to us the verses for present and future generations. His creativity will leave indelible traces in Albanian literature.
