On this 24th anniversary, we commemorate a grand activist and patriot, a man with unwavering commitment to the movement for independence.
Facing danger and different challenges, Haki never retreated but combined his work as a teacher with patriotic activity. His zeal came to a treacherous halt when he was assassinated on November 2, 1999, due to his political convictions and political activity in the service of the motherland and the nation.
Let us honor the memory of Haki, as the dedication to the ideal of freedom, may he be a permanent inspiration for generations!
