The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, on the 23rd anniversary of the Massacre in Shtutica, Vërbovc and surrounding villages commemorated 275 children, the elderly, women and men, brutally executed by the forces of the Serbian genocidal regime.
In defense of the civilian population, 40 KLA soldiers led by the hero Ilaz Kodra, fell that day.
“We will always seek justice for those killed because the crimes of the Serbian genocidal regime will be brought to justice sooner or later. “We will always remember the massacres in Shtutica, Vërbovc and the surrounding villages in order to know the value of freedom,” said President Osmani.
On the same day, the President commemorated the KLA commander, Ilaz Kodra, on the anniversary of his assassination.
According to her, figures like the hero Ilaz Kodra, an early freedom fighter and collaborator of Commander Adem Jashari are not only strategists of our freedom, but also inspirers and reference for the importance of freedom and our state.
“Ilaz Kodra was an indomitable hero who, with his stoicism, came to the defense of his fellow villagers, he fell heroically so that we can remember him forever,” said President Osmani.
