President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, strongly condemns the assassination of the Councillor of the North Mitrovica Assembly, member of the Independent Liberal Party (Samostalna Liberalna Stranka), classifying at as a cowardly act aiming destabilisation of Kosovo and frightening of citizens.
President Jahjaga classified the assassination of the SLS Councillor as an attempt to prevent the endeavours of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and its citizens to establish rule of law and normalise and stabilise each corner of the territory of the country.
President Jahjaga requests that the law enforcement agencies undertake all necessary measures to determine the motives and circumstances in relation to this act and bring the perpetrators in front of the justice.
