President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs Atifete Jahjaga, sent her felicitations on the occasion of Christmas to the Bishop of the Diocese of Kosovo, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji.
The felicitation states:
Honourable Monsignor Gjergji,
On the occasion of the holly feast of Christmas, I would like to pass on to you and to all worshipers of the Catholic faith of the Republic of Kosovo my best wishes, that we may celebrate this holly day in happiness and harmony with our families and with all the goods that God has bestowed upon us.
I highly praise the engagements of the Catholic Church and your personal engagement for the prevalence of harmony and love between people of all ethnicities and faiths and towards building of a better future for all of us.
At the ending of this year, together with the celebrations and in addition to our successes so far, we also take stock of our accomplishments, achieved as a result of relentless engagements of the citizens and institutions with the continuous support of our international friends. Also, at this year-end, we draw our plans for the grand accomplishments that await us in the coming year in order to face the challenges ahead of us in order to improve the lives of our citizens and to open new horizons for our citizens and our state.
