President Jahjaga received the representatives of the institutions responsible for organisation, proper conduct and security of the election process

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today the representatives of the institutions mandated for the organisation, proper conduct and the security of the electoral process: Chairwoman of the Central Electoral Commission, Ms. Valdete Daka, the Chief State Prosecutor Mr. Ismet Kabashi, Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council, Mr. Enver Peci, Director general of the Kosovo Police, Mr. Shpend Maxhuni, and the Chairman of the Complaints and Appeals Electoral Panel Mr. Shukri Sylejmani, with whom she discussed the preparations and engagements of all the institutions on organisation of free and democratic elections.

President Jahjaga said that all measures must be undertaken so that citizens may vote freely in peaceful, democratic, all inclusive, fair and honest elections. She also added that the vote of each citizen must be untouchable, inviolable and free, in all parts of the country.

Madam President also pointed out that responsible institutions must demonstrate that Kosovo is a state of law and a state of equal citizens.

Representatives of the institutions mandated for the organisation, proper conduct and the security of the electoral process informed President Jahjaga with all the preparations and extension of measures undertaken on the eve of the pre term general elections in Republic of Kosovo which aim to ensure peaceful and just elections. They also informed President Jahjaga for the engagements to be undertaken on the actual voting day in order to ensure a proper electoral process.
