President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting the organisers of the Bridge Film Festival, being held for the very first time in the city of Mitrovica.
President Jahjaga praised the idea of the organisers of the Bridge Film Festival which aims changing of the image of Mitrovica and concurrently of the bridge in this city. She stated that inclusion within this project of all the communities living in Mitrovica reflects the foundations upon which the state of Kosovo is built, state in which all the rights and freedoms of all communities are guaranteed by the Constitution.
Executive Director of the Bridge Film Festival, Mrs. Ferizi, thanked President Jahjaga for her unreserved support to the promotion and advancement of the role of women in all fields of the society.
She also said that this festival gathers around the girls from various communities of the city of Mitrovica, thus demonstrating the example of cooperation and joint efforts to, through art, build harmony in the city of Mitrovica.
