President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs Atifete Jahjaga received today at a meeting the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Bulgaria, Ms Anick Van Calster, who on this occasion presented her letters of credence.
President Jahjaga congratulated the Ambassador for her new appointment and highly praised the excellent relations between the two countries and thanked her for the continuous support that the Kingdom of Belgium has provided for all state forming and democratic processes that Kosovo has been through.
President Jahjaga assured the Ambassador Van Calster on the dedication of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to undertake all the necessary reforms to, as soon as possible, accomplish all the criteria and obligations related to the EU integrations, Madam President also stated that Kosovo will continue to be a promoter of peace and stability in the region and an example of good neighbourly relations.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Bulgaria, also accredited to Kosovo on non-residential basis, Ms. Anick Van Calster, said that her country is one of the first countries that have recognised the independence of Kosovo and one of its greatest supporters. She praised the reforms achieved by the Republic of Kosovo and stated the dedication of her government to continue the cooperation and support towards Kosovo’s journey to the EU and NATO integrations.
