President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Japan in Vienna, Austria, Mr. Shigeo Iwatani.
President Jahjaga and Ambassador Iwatani spoke about the actual developments in Kosovo, for the international consolidation of the country and cooperation between Kosovo and Japan.
President Jahjaga praised the help that Japan is providing to Kosovo and classified the relationship between two countries as excellent. She emphasized the need for expansion of the cooperation between the two countries in all fields. President Jahjaga stated that this cooperation is particularly necessary in the field of economy, specifically in investments that Japanese companies could undertake in Kosovo.
Mr. Shigeo Iwatani, the Japanese Ambassador to Vienna, emphasized that his country will continue to support Kosovo even after the recent changes to the Government of Japan. He said that stability of Kosovo is the stability of the whole region. Ambassador Iwatani also said that cooperation between Japan and Kosovo must be expanded in the field of economy.
