President Jahjaga received Madam Jane Armitage

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madame Atifete Jahjaga, received today the World Bank regional coordinator for Eastern Europe, Jane Armitage, snd the manager of the Office of the World Bank in Kosovo, Mr. Jan Peter Olters.

President Jahjaga praised the assistance the World Bank has given and continues to give to Kosovo, as an important international institution and partner. She said that the World Bank assistance to Kosovo has been very useful for different sectors of the economy and for the construction of local capacities and to improve the business environment.

She said that the membership of the Republic of Kosovo in the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund has helped in the international recognition of the country and has opened the way for the membership of Kosovo in other regional organizations and international organizations.

The World Bank Representative, Ms. Jane Armitage, stated that the World Bank will continue its aid to Kosovo in various fields especially in the fields of agriculture, education but also energy through its programs.

She said that the World Bank will be present through various programs in Kosovo but also in the region to help cope with the challenges of different natures.
