President Jahjaga received Henri, Grand Duke of Luxemburg

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting His Royal Highness, Henri, Grand Duke of Luxemburg, accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence of Luxemburg, Mr. Etienne Schneider.

President Jahjaga thanked the Grand Duke of Luxemburg for the help which Luxemburg has provided to Kosovo during all of the stages of state building and democratic consolidation.

President Jahjaga stated that relations of Kosovo with Luxemburg are excellent and that they can be expanded in other fields as well, particularly those of economic cooperation and trade.

She also added that Kosovo has achieved great advances on the last 15 years, and that together with international partners a lot has been done towards establishment of an all inclusive state.

President Jahjaga also said that Kosovo remains dedicated to the dialogue with Serbia. She said that Kosovo has shown constructivism in the dialogue process and that agreements achieved in Brussels must be fully implemented.

Madam President pointed out that Kosovo has concluded the negotiations for the Stabilisation Association Agreement with the European Union, as first essential step on the path to future membership and that we expect the formalisation of this agreement to occur as soon as possible.

President Jahjaga also thanked the Grand Duke of Luxemburg for the help that his country has provided to Kosovo on the integrational process and for the continuous backing of the EU enlargement policy for our region.

His Royal Highness, Henri, Grand Duke of Luxemburg, pointed out that Kosovo has achieved great advances in the last years and that his country is proud of the contribution and help they have provided to Kosovo.

He emphasized that Luxemburg will continue to help Kosovo in the process of European integrations, its international recognitions, in the field of security as well as in the field of economic development.
