President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received a Romanian delegation, which is visiting Kosovo in order to get more acquainted with the process of state building and political and economic developments in the country and in the region.
President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received a Romanian delegation, which is visiting Kosovo in order to get more acquainted with the process of state building and political and economic developments in the country and in the region.
President Jahjaga informed the delegation from Romania with the undertakings of the institutions of Kosovo towards strengthening of democracy and rule of law, building of a free market economy and consolidation of the presence of Republic of Kosovo in international arena, underling the recognitions of its independence.
President Jahjaga also spoke about the European perspective of Kosovo and the importance which this unifying agenda carries for the stability of Kosovo and of the region as a whole. In this plan, Madam President also mentioned the constructive role played by Kosovo as a factor of peace and stability in the region.
The Romanian delegation, which includes the Senator of the Romanian Senate, Ms. Gabriela Cretu and advisers of the Prime Minister of Romania and Romanian Parliament, is currently in Kosovo as part of the visit organised by British Council and Kosovo Foundation for Open Society, which aims to establish relations with countries which have not as yet recognised the independence of Kosovo.
