President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today the OSCE Ambassador to Kosovo, Mr. Jean-Claude Sclumberger, with whom she discussed the process of pre term parliamentary elections in Kosovo and the possibility for a technical engagement of the OSCE Mission in these elections.
President Jahjaga said that after the announcement of the elections date, preceded by a consultational process with all political parties and subjects in Kosovo, all the necessary preparations are being carried out for the elections to be free and fair, with a massive participation of citizens.
Madam President also praised the engagements and help by the OSCE, which has considerable experience and the necessary technical capacities to help the process organised by the CEC. She also added that the OSCE Mission can once again help the process through making the support for the CEC in smooth proceeding of the elections in the municipalities in the north of the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and other aspects of the pre term elections official.
OSCE Ambassador Jean-Claude Schlumberger stated that his mission has commenced the necessary consultations and preparations needed for the supporting role in the electoral process and is ready to help CEC for a regular electoral process.
