President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, based upon her constitutional and legal competencies, has begun consultation with the representatives of all political parties of the country, as well as with the Central Electoral Commission Chairwoman, Mrs. Valdete Daka, in lieu of determination of the date of pre term electoral elections in Kosovo, in concordance with the legal time frame.
President Jahjaga, after the decision reached by the Parliament of the Republic for its dissolution, has conducted consultations with the PDK President, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, LDK President, Mr. Isa Mustafa, President of the Vetevendosje Movement, Mr. Albin Kurti, President of the AAK, Mr. Ramush Haradinaj, Aleanca Kosova e Re President, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, President of the Serbian Liberal Party (SLS), Mr. Slobodan Petrovic, KTDP President, Mr. Mahir Jagcillar, Representatives of the 6+ Group, President of the PD, Mr. Ferid Agani, LDD Vice President, Mr. Lulzim Zeneli, PSHDK President Mr. Uke Berisha, PSD President, Mr. Naser Bytyci, President of PL, Mr. Gjergj Dedaj, NDS President, Ms. Emilia Rexhepi and President of LB, Mr. Avni Klinaku.
President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, in conformity with her role as the factor of unity and guarantor of democratic functioning of the institutions, during the meeting with political party leaders, has emphasized that pre term parliamentary elections in the country must be free, fair, honest and all inclusive. She said that the vote of the citizens of Kosovo must be safe and guaranteed.
Consultations with Kosovo’s political parties will also be continued tomorrow.
