On the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr day, President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, has extended her felicitations to the leadership of the Kosovo Islamic Community and all the followers of Islamic faith.
The Felicitatory letter states:
On the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr, to all the members of Muslim community in Kosovo I extend my most cordial felicitations.
Eid al-Fitr day is a day of celebration, right after the month of Ramadan, characterised by sacrifice and solidarity between people.
I wish that you spent this day together with your mostly beloved, with gifts that God has bestowed upon us.
As in all our other feasts, on this marked day, let us care and look after all those who are in need of our help, let us demonstrate our sense of solidarity once again.
On this day, let us remember with respect all those who are no longer with us, all those who through their sacrifice made possible for us to live free today, in our own state.
