The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, took the decision today to appoint the members of the Central Elections Commission of the Republic of Kosovo, according to the proposal of the Parliamentary Groups and the parliamentary political parties of the communities represented in the Assembly of Kosovo, who took the oath before the President.
President Jahjaga made the decision based on Article 139, item 4 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, Article 61, Article 62 of the Law on the General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo, based on the proposals of the Parliamentary Groups and the members of the communities.
Members of the Central Elections Commission, who took the oath before the President, are:
Mr. Betim Gjoshi – representatives of the Democratic Party of Kosovo,
Mr. Ilir Gashi – representative of the Democratic Party of Kosovo,
Mr. Florian Dushi – representative of the Democratic League of Kosovo,
Mr. Adnan Rrustemi – representative of the Vetëvendosje movement,
Mr. Binak Vishaj – representative of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo,
Mr. Eshref Vishi – representative of Initiative for Kosovo,
Mr. Nenad Rikalo – representative of the Serbian List,
Mr. Ercan Spat – representative of the Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo,
Mr. Bajram Ljatifi – representative of the Coalition VAKAT,
Mr. Ergit Qeli – representative of the Egyptian Liberal Party.
