President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs Atifete Jahjaga received today the extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kosovo, Mr Peter Blomeyer, who on this occasion presented his letters of credence.
President Jahjaga congratulated Ambassador Blomeyer on his new appointment, stating that his appointment has been made at an important moment for Kosovo, after the ending of the supervision of the independence, an act which she classified as a joint success of Kosovo and its international friends.
President emphasized the fact that Germany is one of the first countries that recognised Kosovo’s independence and one of Kosovo’s biggest supporters. She praised the cooperation and the level of bilateral relations between Kosovo and Germany, and expressed her confidence that such cooperation will continue in the future as well, especially in Kosovo’s path towards Euro-Atlantic integrations.
The extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Kosovo, Mr Peter Blomeyer expressed the readiness of his government to continue the support for all the processes that Kosovo is going through and is expected to go through in its journey towards EU and NATO integration.
