The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, met today with King Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the framework of the World Economic Forum, where she is participating at the invitation of His Majesty.
President Jahjaga and King Abdullah of Jordan, discussed about the issues of the expansion of cooperation between the two countries, with special emphasis on the field of economy, investment and the one of security. President Jahjaga thanked King Abdullah of Jordan for the invitation to participate in the proceedings of the World Economic Forum and for the support that Jordan continues to offer to Kosovo in its international consolidation process.
President Jahjaga and King Abdullah of Jordan assessed the necessity of cooperation on a global level in the joint confrontation and response to security threats, not only of the countries separately, but on a broader scale.
They stressed that prevention of the expansion of radicalism and extremism, wherever, will strengthen global security and this is in the interest of both countries which cultivate the tradition of tolerance and religious coexistence as special values.
King Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, praised the relations between the two countries and said that his country will help Kosovo in the processes through which it passes and in its international consolidation.
