President Osmani congratulates the Turkish Community Day in Kosovo

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, on the Day of the Turkish Community of Kosovo, congratulated the citizens of this community and described them as a bridge between Kosovo and Turkey. “This day is a special opportunity to affirm the values of the cultural and linguistic heritage that the Turkish community has given and continues to give to our society. We appreciate the continuous contribution of this community to building a democratic, equal Kosovo where every citizen, without distinction, feels respected and represented,” reads President Osmani’s congratulatory message. In honor of this day and upon the proposal of the elected representatives of the Turkish community, President Osmani bestowed the Presidential Medal of Merit to Prof. Dr. Nimetullah Hafız, for his extraordinary contribution to the preservation, development and promotion of the Turkish language, literature and culture in Kosovo, as well as the education of new generations and the strengthening of interethnic harmony in our country. President Osmani will present the award to Professor Hafız at a special ceremony to be held in the coming days.

President Osmani in Finland at the invitation of President Stubb

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has departed on a working visit to Finland, at the invitation of the Finnish President Alexander Stubb. The visit will commence with an official ceremony, organized at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, after which the two presidents will hold a tête-à-tête meeting, followed by a meeting between the respective delegations of the two countries. As part of the visit, President Stubb will host an official lunch for President Osmani and her delegation at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki. As part of this visit, President Osmani will award the Presidential Military Medal to the Finnish Armed Forces for their contribution to peace and security in Kosovo, within the framework of the NATO forces – KFOR mission. During her visit to Finland, President Osmani will also be received by Jussi Halla-aho, Speaker of the Finnish Parliament and by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Ms. Elina Valtonen. As part of the agenda, President Osmani will hold a discussion at the University of Helsinki on the topic “Kosovo’s Vision for European Integration, Peace and Stability”, where she will present the strategic priorities of the Republic of Kosovo to students, professors and diplomats. During her stay in Finland, President Osmani will also hold a meeting with representatives of the Kosovar diaspora, to discuss with them the latest developments in Kosovo and to express gratitude for their valuable contribution to the empowerment of the country.
