President Jahjaga received President of Austria, Mr. Heinz Fischer
Upon an official invitation of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, President of Republic of Austria, Mr. Heinz Fischer, is visiting Kosovo. President Fischer is the first Austrian President visiting Kosovo since the declaration of independence.

President Jahjaga’s statement on the occasion of signing of SAA between Kosovo and EU
Dear Citizens,
Today is a very special day for the Republic of Kosovo. At a ceremony organised in Strasbourg, Prime Minister of Kosovo and EU’s High Representative signed the Stabilisation-Association Agreement (SAA) between Kosovo and European Union. Through this agreement, Kosovo today commences its irreversible journey to membership in European Union, in the family of states which share the values of freedom, democracy, equality and rule of law.

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a farewell meeting the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Kosovo, Mr. Johann Brieger.
Statement of the President of the Republic of Kosovo
I am deeply distressed and I express my deep regret for the developments inside and outside of the Parliament of Kosovo. Violent actions and scenes within the parliament are unacceptable and punishable, and the tools used are in contravention of basic principles of a democratic order and of a parliamentary democracy.
President Jahjaga received a delegation of the Balkan Roma Union
President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting a delegation of the Balkan Roma Union- BAROM, with Roma representatives from Turkey, Macedonia and Kosovo, lead by the President of this Union, Mr. Nexhdet Mustafa, currently also a Minister without Portfolio of the Government of Macedonia.
