President Jahjaga received a delegation of the Balkan Roma Union

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting a delegation of the Balkan Roma Union- BAROM, with Roma representatives from Turkey, Macedonia and Kosovo, lead by the President of this Union, Mr. Nexhdet Mustafa, currently also a Minister without Portfolio of the Government of Macedonia.

President Jahjaga and BAROM delegation discussed the rights, freedoms and conditions in which Kosovo’ citizens of Roma background live and work. On this occasion, President Jahjaga said that Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo guarantees all its citizens of all communities’ equal rights and freedoms. She said that institutions of Kosovo are determined to protection of ethnic, cultural and religious identity of all communities.
President Jahjaga congratulated Mr. Mustafa on his initiative and wished him many successes in realization of the mission of the Balkan Roma Union. She expressed the determination of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo for continuous improvement and advances of rights and freedoms of all communities living in Kosovo.
President of the Balkan Roma Union, Mr. Nexhdet Mustafa, said that their mission is improvement of the living and working conditions as well as the integration of Roma in societies and institutions in all Balkan countries.
