Today we remember with humility and pride two of the brightest figures of our recent history, Fehmi and Xhevë Lladrovci. They were not only spouses, but comrades-in-arms, they were not only two lives, but a common ideal for the freedom of Kosovo. They rose above fear and chose to remain an eternal example of courage. Their fall was not the end, but the foundation of a path that led to freedom and independence. For their extraordinary contribution to freedom, I had the honor to present the Lladrovci family, on the occasion of the anniversary of Kosovo’s independence, with the Order “Hero of Kosovo” for Fehmi Lladrovci and the Order “Heroine of Kosovo” for Xhevë Lladrovci. Eternal glory to Fehmi and Xhevë Lladrovci!

He was treacherously murdered, a victim of a despicable act that aimed to stop the efforts for freedom. But, even though the colonel was murdered, the dream of a free Kosovo was not killed. His legacy is alive in every step of our state-building, while solving his murder remains a moral and institutional obligation. May the memory of Colonel Ahmet Krasniqi be eternal!

During the meeting, President Osmani thanked Finland for its continued support to the Republic of Kosovo, especially in the processes of state-building, democratization and strengthening of institutions. In her capacity as the Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE, Ms. Valtonen was informed by President Osmani on the latest developments in Kosovo, the commitment of the institutions to peace and stability, as well as the implementation of law and order. President Osmani reiterated Kosovo’s commitment to close cooperation with the OSCE in the process of reforms, institutional transparency and human rights. In this context, President Osmani emphasized that she expects the OSCE to continue to support Kosovo’s key priorities, including gender equality and the strengthening of human rights.

On the eve of the Summit of the leaders of the European Political Community in Copenhagen, President Osmani and Ambassador Guérot discussed the meetings expected to take place during the summit, as well as the coordination regarding a number of issues that will be addressed there. President Osmani also reiterated her commitment to strengthening of interstate cooperation, with particular emphasis on the field of security.
