Today we remember with humility and pride two of the brightest figures of our recent history, Fehmi and Xhevë Lladrovci. They were not only spouses, but comrades-in-arms, they were not only two lives, but a common ideal for the freedom of Kosovo. They rose above fear and chose to remain an eternal example of courage. Their fall was not the end, but the foundation of a path that led to freedom and independence. For their extraordinary contribution to freedom, I had the honor to present the Lladrovci family, on the occasion of the anniversary of Kosovo’s independence, with the Order “Hero of Kosovo” for Fehmi Lladrovci and the Order “Heroine of Kosovo” for Xhevë Lladrovci. Eternal glory to Fehmi and Xhevë Lladrovci!
President Osmani condoles the Petrovci family on the passing of the actor and director, Enver Petrovci
It is with deep sorrow that we received the news of the passing of the actor and director Enver Petrovci. He remains one of the most prominent figures of our culture. With his talent and work, he gave our art professionalism and dignity. His memory and contribution will live forever on all of our acting stages and in the memory of the people of Kosovo. I express my sincere condolences to the Petrovci family, friends and the entire cultural community. During these difficult moments for the family, I empathise with you and encourage you to find strength in coping with the pain. May the memory of Enver Petrovci be eternal!

President Osmani commemorates Colonel Ahmet Krasniqi on the 27th anniversary of his assassination
Colonel Ahmet Krasniqi, the first Minister of Defense of Kosovo, remains a symbol of courage, sacrifice and vision for a free Kosovo. He was treacherously murdered, a victim of a despicable act that aimed to stop the efforts for freedom. But, even though the colonel was murdered, the dream of a free Kosovo was not killed. His legacy is alive in every step of our state-building, while solving his murder remains a moral and institutional obligation. May the memory of Colonel Ahmet Krasniqi be eternal!

President Osmani is honored with the “Key to the City” from the city of Waterbury, Connecticut
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, was honored with the Key to the City of Waterbury by Mayor Paul K. Pernerewski Jr., on the occasion of her visit to this city in the state of Connecticut. During her stay in Waterbury, President Osmani met with the Albanian diaspora living and working in this city, in an event that brought together numerous American friends, including United States senators, Connecticut state and local leaders, as well as representatives of our diaspora. President Osmani expressed her gratitude for the hospitality of the city of Waterbury and the valuable contribution of our diaspora, underlining that the relationship between Kosovo and the United States is a friendship rooted in shared values of freedom and democracy.
President Vjosa Osmani received in a farewell meeting the German Ambassador, Jörn Rohde
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in a farewell meeting the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Jörn Rohde, whom she thanked for his long-term commitment to Kosovo. President Osmani reiterated that Germany remains an important strategic partner of the Republic of Kosovo and that the partnership between the two countries is continuously growing. The importance of deepening economic relations was highlighted on this occasion – relations which have also been strengthened with the valuable contribution of the Kosovar diaspora in Germany, constituting a solid bridge between the two countries and our peoples through their investments and commitment. The President expressed gratitude for the support that Germany has provided to Kosovo over the years, including support for the path towards Euro-Atlantic integration. She also appreciated Germany’s continued support in various sectors through numerous development projects. President Osmani wished Ambassador Rohde further success in his future engagements.
President Osmani received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, at the same time the Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE, Ms. Elina Valtonen
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, and at the same time the Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE, Ms. Elina Valtonen. During the meeting, President Osmani thanked Finland for its continued support to the Republic of Kosovo, especially in the processes of state-building, democratization and strengthening of institutions. In her capacity as the Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE, Ms. Valtonen was informed by President Osmani on the latest developments in Kosovo, the commitment of the institutions to peace and stability, as well as the implementation of law and order. President Osmani reiterated Kosovo’s commitment to close cooperation with the OSCE in the process of reforms, institutional transparency and human rights. In this context, President Osmani emphasized that she expects the OSCE to continue to support Kosovo’s key priorities, including gender equality and the strengthening of human rights.
President Osmani received the Ambassador of France to Kosovo, Mr. Olivier Guérot
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Ambassador of the French Republic to Kosovo, Mr. Olivier Guérot. The latest political developments in the country, the importance of the full functioning of all institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in accordance with the Constitution, as well as bilateral relations between Kosovo and France were discussed at the meeting. On the eve of the Summit of the leaders of the European Political Community in Copenhagen, President Osmani and Ambassador Guérot discussed the meetings expected to take place during the summit, as well as the coordination regarding a number of issues that will be addressed there. President Osmani also reiterated her commitment to strengthening of interstate cooperation, with particular emphasis on the field of security.
