President Osmani participates at the annual SEECP summit and the inaugural meeting of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum
The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani departed for an official visit to Turkey, where she will be representing Kosovo at the annual South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) summit. At this summit, which is being held for the 25th time and is being held under the chairmanship of Turkey, Madam President will speak in relation to the positions of the Republic of Kosovo regarding regional cooperation, addressing the pandemic challenges and Euro-Atlantic integration.
President Osmani extends the EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo technical mandate
President Vjosa Osmani, via a letter, informed the EU High Representative for Foreign
Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell Fontelles on the extension of the EULEX
mandate for another year.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received at a farewell meeting the Head of the UNICEF Office in Kosovo, Mr. Murat Sahin, whom she thanked for his work and commitment to the protection of the rights of children, especially of those with special needs. President Osmani emphasized that she will continue to support the work of UNICEF, with a special focus on the rights of children with special needs, which will be among her top priorities during her term in office.
President Osmani proclaims the local elections in the Republic of Kosovo for October 17th
The President of the republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, after the conclusion of the consultations with political parties on June 2nd 2021, and pursuant to the Law on Local Elections in the Republic of Kosovo has proclaimed October 17th 2021 as the date of next local elections. With the same decision, President Osmani has directed the central Electoral Commission to carry out all the necessary measures for the organisation and holding of the local elections in compliance of the this decision and the legislation in force.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, in accordance with her legal competencies, has appointed the judge of the Court of Appeals, Mr. Kreshnik Radoniqi as the new Chairperson of the Central Election Commission, after the termination of the mandate of the current Chairwoman of the CEC, Mrs. Valdete Daka.
