The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Karin Boven, on the occasion of the presentation of credentials. President Osmani congratulated the Ambassador on her tenure and stressed the excellent bilateral relations between Kosovo and the Netherlands. In this spirit, President Osmani expressed her commitment to continue the excellent cooperation during the ambassador’s mandate. Madam President also expressed Kosovo’s gratitude for the continuous support provided by the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Kosovo, including support for Kosovo’s membership in the Euro-Atlantic institutions.

President Osmani received the ambassador of Türkiye Sabri Tunç Angılı

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Kosovo, Sabri Tunç Angılı, with whom she discussed the latest developments in the country. President Osmani re-emphasized the importance that the implementation plan for the opening of the bridge is carried out in consultation and coordination between our institutions and our security partners, and that its opening is in the interest of all citizens, irrespective of their ethnicity. Developments related to the Berlin Process, with President Osmani reconfirmed her full support for the agreements resulting from this process were also discussed.

President Vjosa Osmani, the first leader from the Balkans to be honored with the M100 International Award by the Sanssouci Colloquium

The M100 Sanssouci Colloquium has honored the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani with the M100 Media Award for her dedication to Euro-Atlantic values and incessant work in reforms, strengthening democracy, the pro-European course, the fight against corruption, and equality and women’s rights. The announcement published by M100 states that President Osmani: “is committed to democracy and the rule of law, as well as to the integration of the Republic of Kosovo in the Euro-Atlantic structures. She engages in protecting democracy and freedom as essential achievements, despite all threats and obstacles”. The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk is also a laureate of this prize.. The award ceremony takes place on September 12th at the Sanssouci Park Orangery in Potsdam. The keynote speech on this occasion will be delivered by the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz.

President Osmani: Kosovo for the first time in its history at the Paralympic Games

President Osmani received the NATO Assistant Secretary General Boris Ruge

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received today the NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Ambassador Boris Ruge. President Osmani reiterated Kosovo’s gratitude for NATO’s continuous contribution to Kosovo, emphasizing Kosovo’s dedication to NATO membership.
