Pacolli: Austria was and remains a real friend to Kosovo

“Austria was our friend and has remained a friend to Kosovo. Austria has provided an enormous support to Kosovo and we very much appreciate that”, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli said at a meeting with the Austrian Ambassador to our country Johann Brieger.

Having referred to several fields in which Austria had provided a great assistance and distinguished the assistance provided to the higher education in particular, President Pacolli said Kosovo still needed to benefit from the Austrian assistance and experience in many fields.

At this meeting as well, President Pacolli spoke of Kosovo’s projects for economic growth and creation of an attractive environment for the arrival of as many investors from Austria to Kosovo as possible.

On his part, Ambassador Johann Brieger congratulated President Pacolli on his election as President and handed over the letter of congratulation that President Fisher had extended to President Pacolli.

Mr. Brieger underlined a continued and good cooperation between Austria and Kosovo in many fields, a cooperation that he maintained had borne fruit and augmented the friendship between the two states further.

In economic terms, he expressed his hope that more Austrian businesses would invest in Kosovo in the future, though he said the number of Austrian businesses that operate currently in our country was not small.
