Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo expresses its opinion that the municipal elections and those for municipal mayors must be held in a democratic and honest manner, in order for citizens to freely express their will for the elections of their representatives.
Office of the President emphasizes that the viewpoints expressed by Mr. Ramush Tahiri are his personal viewpoints and as such do not represent the viewpoints or the position of the President of Kosovo.
We would like to emphasize that the Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo supports a just electoral process and appeals to all political parties, political subjects, civic initiatives and all candidates involved in the electoral race to do the utmost to provide for a peaceful and proper electoral process.
These elections are a test of Kosovo’s democracy and they must prove to be an example of our democratic maturity.
