The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, met with the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, on the sidelines of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) Summit in Sofia.
Relations between Kosovo and North Macedonia, as two neighboring countries with a common interest in regional stability, connectivity and European integration, were discussed at the meeting.
Acting President Haxhiu stressed the importance of continuing mutual support in international organizations, including support for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe and for a clearer path towards NATO.
Part of the conversation was also dedicated to infrastructure projects that directly connect the two countries, including the Blace-Skopje highway and the Tetovë-Prizren tunnel project, which are important in the movement of citizens, trade, and economic development.
