President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting a delegation of the European Commission, headed by the Deputy Director of the Enlargement Directorate-General and at the same time EU’s Chief Negotiator on SAA, Mr. Joost Korte.
President Jahjaga thanked Mr. Korte for the support and contribution he has provided to the institutions of Kosovo on the SAA negotiations process and in general on the endeavours for the implementation of the European agenda.
Madam President emphasised that the region has achieved considerable progress on its journey towards EU and in promotion of regional cooperation, with the continuous support of the European Commission.
President Jahjaga stated that this momentum must be preserved and that Kosovo is dedicated to the fulfilment of all the required reforms in order to successfuly accomplish the SAA negotiation process.
Deputy Director of the Enlargement Directorate-General of the European Commission, Mr, Joost Korte, emphasized that Kosovo in the last two years has made advances on its European path. He stated that he is pleased with the advances achieved and the efficiency of the two rounds of the SAA negotiations. Mr. Korte also added that Kosovo must continue to show progress in reforms determined by the European Commission’s Feasibility Study.
